No soy muy fan del fútbol y no tenía muchas expectativas sobre este programa, pero me ha gustado muchísimo. La del fútbol era una historia muy desconocida para mí.

En Chichén, según me contaron cuando lo visité, no se jugaba, como bien comentas, era un "campo" demasiado grande, así que allí era un lugar ritual.

Y en las Islas Británicas es donde están la mayor parte de los precedentes medievales del fútbol moderno por lo visto, según dice en este artículo de Wikipedia sobre la Historia del Fútbol. Había una variedad, en Francia, que era llevar el balón hasta el pueblo rival jaja.
Hay una serie en Netflix, "Juego de Caballeros" (The English Game) que está muy bien, y trata de los inicios del futbol, lo que ya no se es el.rigor histórico de la misma.
