Amar no es sinónimo de sufrir. Aun siendo una afirmación obvia, hace falta recordarlo... La búsqueda del amor es una de las necesidades básicas del ser humano; el afecto nos convierte en seres fuertes, pero si al alcanzarlo nos entregamos en exceso y no acertamos a delimitar los sentimientos, la pasión se puede convertir en veneno. “No puedo vivir sin ti”, “vivo por y para ti”, “sin ti no soy nada”... son frases que encierran mucho más que amor. Son un claro síntoma de que el deseo se ha convertido en necesidad, y amar en un tormento. Los dependientes emocionales ,en algunos casos, albergan una cierta carencia afectiva y por ello se anulan a sí mismos y, aun siendo conscientes de su infelicidad, se entregan completamente a relaciones de pareja destructivas. Es como si estuvieran enganchados al amor, como si fueran adictos al afecto.
Para evitar caer en la adición al amor y tener que acudir, en última instancia, a un profesional, os recomiendo la prevención basada en cuatro puntos.
El primero y crucial, es mejorar la autoestima.
El segundo, mejorar las relaciones interpersonales.
El tercero, aprender a intervenir directamente en las relaciones de pareja, evaluando si esta es agradable o enfermiza y, por ultimo, es fundamental interiorizar pautas y formarnos para saber que es realmente una relación sana.
