Entrevista de Jesús Quintero a Antonio Gala: "No os molestéis, conozco la salida" (Canal Sur, 2013) description

El escritor Antonio Gala es entrevistado por el periodista Jesús Quintero en un programa especial de Canal Sur TV, entrevista que se presentó bajo el título – elegido por el propio escritor - de “No os molestéis, conozco la salida”. (Emitido en Canal Sur el 3 de abril de 2013).

El autor de novelas como "El manuscrito carmesí" o "La pasión turca" habla consciente desde la grave enfermedad que padece ("un cáncer de difícil extirpación) por lo que sus palabras, en tono de despedida, suenan más rotundas y sinceras.

El Gala más rebelde, más iconoclasta, más desengañado, más duro, más irónico y más auténtico, el que sin retórica llama a los sinvergüenzas sinvergüenzas y abomina de esta España en que la gente se suicida porque la echan de sus casas, se ofrece "casi desnudo, como los hijos de la mar", en esta entrevista que, sin duda, supone un documento y un testimonio de gran valor. El programa contiene además incisos de comentarios del propio Jesús Quintero, fragmentos de otras tantas entrevistas realizadas por Jesús Quintero a Gala a lo largo de más de 20 años, y comentarios de sus alumnos sobre su persona y actividad de mecenazgo en su Fundación artística Antonio Gala, creada por él, en Córdoba.

En definitiva, una charla de dos viejos amigos en la hora de la verdad, donde el mejor Antonio Gala brilla esta vez por su cruda sinceridad y su valentía.

En la actualidad (mayo 2015) Antonio Gala continúa luchando contra el cáncer y vive recluido en su finca "La Baltasara", ubicada a las afueras de Alhaurín el Grande, en Málaga.
