Howard Carter description

Howard Carter está considerado como uno de los egiptólogos más famosos de la historia.
Admirado por muchos, criticado por no menos y envidiado por casi todos, fue una persona que se hizo a sí misma y consiguió llegar a lo más alto o al sueño de todo arqueólogo, descubriendo la tumba de Tutankamón.
De ideas fijas, temperamento difícil, carácter arisco y pocos amigos, pero trabajador incansable, de mente despierta y sed por nuevos conocimientos.
Fue un ejemplo a seguir para sus contemporáneos y un referente para sus sucesores.
Howard Carter nació en Londres , Kensington el 9 de mayo de 1874 y murió el 2 de marzo de 1939.
Hijo de padre artita , recibió de él las primeras clases de dibujo y pintura.
Comenzó trabajando en Egipto muy joven , copiando inscripciones y pinturas.
Después de haber trabajado como dibujante en Beni Hasan estuvo bajo la tutela de William Flinders Petrie con él colaboró en la excavación de Tell el-Amarna.
Más tarde trabaja para el Servicio de Antigüedades egipcias relacionándose luego con Lord Carnavon quien le costearía el descubrimiento de la tumba de Tutankhamón en el Valle de los Reyes.
El 4 de noviembre de 1922 Carter halló la tumba casi intacta , la mejor conservada .
Otros descubrimientos que llevó a cabo fueron la tumba del faraón Tutmosis IV y la de la reina Hatshepsut.
Después de catalogar todos los objetos que había en ella se retira de la arqueología muriendo en Inglaterra a la edad de 65 años.
Howard Carter fue enterrado en el cementerio de Putney Vale, al oeste de Londres.

maravilloso. con la ventaja de que oír y no ver imágenes la mente se centra más y se van formando imágenes en la mente
