Aunque la cartelera está como está, entre la pandemia, restricciones y el frío invierno, hay que seguir fomentando ir a las salas por lo que no falta nuestra habitual galería sonora de estrenos con lo mejor de la semana. Si preferís quedaros en casa, algo también perfectamente comprensible y respetable con la que está cayendo, echamos un vistazo a las plataformas con “One night in Miami”, ópera prima como directora de Regina King que se puede ver en Amazon Prime y que narra un encuentro ficticio pero mítico entre cuatro grandes figuras de la cultura popular negra, el activista Malcolm X, el cantante Sam Cooke, el boxeador Cassius Clay y el jugador de fútbol Jim Brown, en una noche de 1964 que sirvió como punto de inflexión para que todos ellos tomaran conciencia de la importancia de que la voz de la raza negra fuera escuchada, y el papel que estaban destinados a jugar, para seguir luchando frente el Estados Unidos del racismo congénito que todavía colea actualmente. A Movistar+ ha llegado directamente “In fabric”, lo nuevo del inclasificable Peter Strickland por lo que nos metemos en sus mundos, perturbadores y fetichistas, en este caso con un vestido rojo maldito como parábola del consumismo más voraz. Recordamos con Julián Juan Lacasa al actor y guionista francés Jean-Pierre Bacri que ha fallecido esta semana después de dejarnos grandes momentos de cine en sus colaboraciones con Agnès Jaoui. Los viejos gruñones Daniel Lorenzo, Sr. Finch y Mrs. Muir hablan del terror gótico a raíz del estreno en cines de “La maldición de Lake Manor”, las nominaciones a los Goya 2021 y la actualidad en Cinema Espresso.
