This week we're unpacking Imposter Syndrome.
Imposter Syndrome (IS) refers to an internal experience of believing that you are not as competent as others perceive you to be. While this definition is usually narrowly applied to intelligence and achievement, it has links to perfectionism and the social context.
We unpacked Dr. Valerie Young's 5 types of imposters and unpack how each of us is impacted by it.
An expert on the subject, Dr. Valerie Young, has categorized it into subgroups: the Perfectionist, the Superwoman/man, the Natural Genius, the Soloist, and the Expert.
We address Michelle Obama's feelings on imposter syndrome and we have an interesting AITB at the end of the show.
Don't forget to listen until the end!
