A l’occasion du Salon des Thermalies qui débute ce 1er février au Carrousel du Louvre et qui rassemble les acteurs du bien-être et santé par l’eau, autour de 6 Pavillons thématiques, on peut se poser la question si les thalassos vont remplacer les cures thermales. La thalassothérapie se médicalise de plus en plus pour revenir aux fondamentaux de sa finalité propre et élargit sa gamme de soins à différentes pathologies en misant sur la prévention. De l’autre côté, comment le monde du thermalisme s’adapte à cette nouvelle donne avec toujours un impératif « le thermalisme doit rester dans le monde de la santé » ? Y a t-il par ailleurs un nouveau public plus jeune à cibler ? Pour en débattre au micro de Sophie Nouaille :
Marie-Noëlle Veillet-Berry: Directrice générale de la Thalasso Alliance Pornic, en Loire-Atlantique sur la Côte de Jade, directrice de l’établissement depuis sa création en 1990 et qui a su donner au fur et à mesure une impulsion nouvelle à la thalassothérapie en développement une approche globale de la santé et en capitalisant sur la prévention.
Docteur Stéphane Mauclair: médecin généraliste orientation thermal à Dax (https://www.thermes-dax.com) et 4ème vice-président de la communauté d’agglomération du Grand Dax. A ce titre, il est en charge du thermalisme, du tourisme, de la recherche et de l’innovation dans le domaine thermal. Il est aussi maire adjoint de Dax en charge de la culture.
