Millions if not billions of gallons of water are wasted every year that can be recycled. This water is called greywater. That is the water from your washing machines, showers and other similar water dispensing household items.
Did you know that you can reuse that water for your garden and landscape? Doing so will give you double use of the same water, thus helping save water in the process.
For 10 years Brook has been leading the charge in greywater recycling in San Diego, CA and she is coming on to teach us some tips and tricks on how to do it.
She'll share with us some simple set ups, the cost to running your recycling system and how exactly you use that water for the garden.

About this episode's guest, Brook Sarson Brook is co-owner and CEO of CatchingH2O/H2OME. She graduated with a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and a B.S. in Applied Mathematics from University of the Pacific in Stockton, California in 2001.
She received her Permaculture Certificate in 2008 from ECOSA Institute in Prescott, Arizona. Brook also completed the Watershed Management Group Water Harvesting Certification Course as well as a Watershed Restoration Course with Craig Sponholtz.
Brook received the Water Warrior Award from the Surfrider Foundation in 2011 for her on the ground work in water conservation.
She has spoken and taught at City College, Wild Willows Farm, Surfrider Foundation, Coastkeeper, Cuyamaca Water Conservation Garden, Quail Botanic Gardens, the Ecology Center, The San Diego Sustainable Living Institute, The Del Mar Fair, Master Gardeners, as well as a number of schools, communities, businesses, and events.
Brook is passionate about water and is always on the search for Wild Water wherever she goes! Brook lives in City Heights with her partner, two sons and two cats.
