Alright guys, here we grow!
Welcome to another exciting episode of The Creative Marketing Zone Podcast! I am your host and chief creative officer, Eric and this is the weekly podcast for all things creative to help you build and grow your business!
Today I am super pumped to bring on Judy Schramm, CEO of ProResource, a marketing agency that specializes in LinkedIn personal branding for technology entrepreneurs, CEOs, thought leaders, sales executives, and lawyers.
ProResource helps define a strong personal brand online, with a dynamic and engaging social media presence that allows people to see the depth of their expertise, builds trust, and creates opportunities for quality conversations.
Judy, who you will get to hear more from in a few moments has worked with hundreds of small technology businesses and has been personally involved in launching more than 150 products.
Now around five years ago, ProResource started specializing in using LinkedIn, and the company has had tremendous success in helping clients build targeted prospecting lists allowing them to bypass the gatekeeper and get conversations started.
Judy and the ProResource team has also built a methodology and developed processes and systems for doing personal branding and lead generation effectively using LinkedIn.
They also help clients debug their marketing, do market research quickly and inexpensively, and build a talent pool to help grow businesses faster.
I am super thrilled to have Judy on the show because LinkedIn is a platform we have just started to explore here on The Creative Marketing Zone Podcast, and this is a platform in which I will be spending a lot of time on in 2019.
Recently, I had an interview with Joey Gilkey, founder of Tribe Prospecting and Co-Founder & CEO of Sales Pipeline Accelerator who shared several ninja tips for lead generation using LinkedIn.
Judy is here with us today to share some more awesome tips, but more so on the personal branding side to help build a community or tribe of loyal followers, land speaking engagements, TV spots, dos and don’ts with your LinkedIn profile, content strategies and so much more.
If you are looking at leveraging the power of LinkedIn in 2019 to grow your personal brand then this is an episode you will want to tune in and take notes on.
Now, if this your first time tuning in, then welcome – I am super thrilled you are here! Here on The Creative Marketing Zone Podcast is when I feature a marketing guru sharing his or her ninja secrets, hacks, timeless principles, etc. to help you get into The Creative Marketing Zone for your business. I have been doing this podcast for well over a year and a half and it has been a blessing in disguise for me as I get to interview awesome business owners and marketers sharing their tips that work, which I can apply and share with you each and every week – how cool is that?
And if you are a repeat listening friend of The Creative Marketing Zone Podcast then welcome back! As always, I am super elated you have chosen me to be in your ear each week wherever you are.

This week’s feature review on iTunes comes from jhall141, which states:
“So good!
I love how authentic and fun Eric is! He truly has progressed a lot since the early episodes and it is just a testament to show that it pays to get started and keep progressing as he often mentions. I learn something new each week and love it! – Jhall141”
Thanks so much, Jhall, and yes I can tell you are a regular listener as I have talked about this on many episodes. I often get asked from people interested in starting their own podcast what it’s like to run a weekly podcast, especially more so now as I am close to episode 100. I always return their question with a question, “Why do you want to start a podcast?”
The reason why I ask this question is that running a weekly podcast is a lot of work! This is definitely a long-term game and it is not a place to make a quick buck.
But if you do play your cards right by being consistent each week and use your platform to share good info and build solid relationships with your guests and listening friends, then you can use the platform to help you build and grow your business to a new level. Meaning, podcasting can open up more opportunities to help you grow your brand if that is the direction you are looking to grow your business.
Alright, guys, one last thing before we jump into the awesomeness of this show with Judy!
If you haven’t already done so, then be sure to listen to episode 91 after turning in today’s show. I have gotten a lot of engagement and response from that solo episode sharing my top 5 creative hacks to book more prospecting calls in 2019.
If you are a service-based business owner (e.g. coach, consultant, marketer, or agency owner) and are looking to get more clients in 2019 then episode 91 is a must. The tips I shared are super actionable, and I included the free resource guide to go along with it.
Just go to www.TheCreativeMarketingZone.com and on the home page, you will see the link that says, “Get More Clients” to get your free guide to go along with that episode, episode 91.
We got an awesome show to do today guys, don’t we? So without further ado, let’s welcome Judy to the show!
Key Takeaways
Judy’s fascinating journey in marketing, along with how and why she got into LinkedIn.
How to use LinkedIn to enhance your own brand and develop your professional presence online. Microsoft and Google are driving people to your profile to learn about you, so using LinkedIn as an effective landing page for your business can help you tremendously.
Who is Googling you that you care about? What do those people need to know about you? This needs to be represented on your profile page. And this involves telling a story of where they are now, how they got here, and where they want to go – your vision.
How to build trust on LinkedIn through credibility. There are five things you want to leverage to help you build trust on your profile in which Judy covered.
Sharing your accomplishments (e.g. track record), your contribution (or what you are doing to give back) to the community for the greater good, and allowing yourself to let your personality shine on LinkedIn is key. I love what Judy stated when she said, “You can’t build a brand on neutral.” Hence the title of this podcast episode.
Best tips on engagement and curating content. Five minutes a couple of times per week can go a long way on LinkedIn. This is encouraging to hear, especially for the busy CEOs or C-Suite executives who need to be focusing on other core aspects of their business.
