In episode one, Don looks at the beginnings of Reggae, from the naming of the genre, the tracks that created the foundations, the catalysts behind the genre and even his fathers Sound System parties in South London.Don Letts is one of the central characters in reggae in the UK. Dating back to the seventies where his residency at the infamous Roxy club switched a whole generation of punks onto Reggae and is still at the forefront of new music with his BBC Radio 6 show.The show is kindly supported by Turtle Bay - the UKs finest Caribbean Restaurant chain.
Sonideros es un programa de músicas diversas, conducido por Rodolfo Poveda y diseñado para disfrutar en directo los hallazgos y propuestas musicales de cuatro críticos y DJs (entre ellos DJ Floro, DJ Bombín, Luis Lapuente y Kiko Helguera). Una sucesión de espacios de una hora de duración, sin solución de continuidad, en la que cada sonidero compartirá con el conductor y la audiencia los sonidos capturados del mundo exterior y explorará, en círculos concéntricos o excéntricos, sus referentes, su contexto, en suma lo que le da a cada canción todo su sentido y la hace girar - como cualquier disco - siempre sobre si misma.
